The Kimberly Fund is sponsored by Colon Cancer Coalition. The Kimberly Fund provides support to children whose parent or primary caregiver is currently being treated for colorectal cancer or who has lost a parent or primary caregiver to colorectal cancer, offering them a chance to experience being a kid again.

Please contact each directly with any questions. This page is dedicated to the memory of Sarah DeBord, colorectal cancer patient and advocate who was lost to this disease in July 2020. Sarah was a tireless advocate and educator, using her experiences as a patient to help others.

For eight years she inspired others as she truly LIVED with metastatic disease; experiencing new things, finding new passions, and giving her all. We are honored that for five years Sarah chose to channel her passions into her work at the Colon Cancer Coalition.

She never wavered in her vision to encourage screening, help young people learn the signs and symptoms, and teach patients to advocate for themselves so they may have a different outcome than she did. Peer-to-Peer and Online Support COLONTOWN is an online community of more than 100 “secret” groups on Facebook for colorectal patients, survivors, and caregivers.

There are separate neighborhoods focused on patients with different stages of disease, the differing types of treatment, and special interests – such as CRC clinical trials, young-onset CRC patients, and local support groups. Imerman Angels provides FREE personalized one-on-one cancer support for cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.

A community space for Indigenous cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers where you can build your own personalized support network. The free platform allows you to communicate and organize with those who understand your unique needs. Patient and Caregiver Financial Support Patient Advocate Foundation Financial Aid Fund Division https://aicafsacredcircle.

com/ This independent division of Patient Advocate Foundation provides small grants to patients who meet financial and medical criteria. Grants are provided on first-come first served basis and are distributed until funds are depleted. Qualifications and processes for each fund may differ based on fund requirements.

Ancora Cancer Foundation is dedicated to the aid and support of cancer patients, their families and caregivers. Their mission is to provide education about the devastating financial impact of cancer on patients and families.

They act to soften the financial implications of cancer by publishing helpful information offering solutions and by providing direct financial assistance through co-pay grants for chemotherapy and targeted-therapy drugs, as well as cancer patient family crisis stipends for travel and lodging relating to treatment stays. CancerLINC is a Richmond, VA non-profit that ‘LINC’s cancer patients and their families to legal, financial, and community resources to solve the non-medical obstacles that arise with a cancer diagnosis.

With the help of over 160 volunteer professionals, they address issues often experienced by patients such as: medical debt, life planning legal documents, employment issues, insurance denials, housing insecurity, community resource support and more. Through direct financial assistance and free online support and education, they help young adults survive and move forward with their lives after cancer. Education Financial Support The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults is committed to helping young adults (ages 15-39) continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one. The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide support to individuals that are legal residents of the United States of America, under the age of 25, who have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer, a chronic, or life threatening debilitating disease within the past five years. https://collegeconsultantscare.

org/ Provides free college admissions assistance for high school students recently diagnosed with cancer or who have a parent with cancer. Independent educational consultants objectively guide students and help them meet application deadlines, plan for college visits, create a standardized testing plan, develop college application strategies, consider possible majors and search for financial aid/scholarships.

joeshouse. org Nonprofit organization that helps cancer patients and their families find a place to stay when traveling away from home for medical treatment. AirBnB and Open Homes matches patients traveling for medical care with hosts willing to provide free accommodations for them to stay.

http://aircharitynetwork. org Air Charity Network is comprised of network member organizations who cover specific geographical service areas and coordinate volunteer pilot flights who provide free air transportation for children and adults with medical needs, including far-away doctor appointments, special surgeries, or frequent chemotherapy/radiation. patienttravel. org The Patient Travel Referral program, a program of Mercy Medical Angels, provides information about all forms of charitable, long-distance medically-related transportation and provides referrals to all appropriate sources of help available in the national charitable medical transportation network. http://www.

corpangelnetwork. org/home Corporate Angel Network is the only charitable organization whose sole mission is to transport cancer patients to the hospital at which they need to be in order to receive a specialized form of treatment. Simply put, they pair empty seats – on both private and corporate planes – with qualified patients who need rides at no cost.

This not only improves the patient’s chances of survival but at the same time, it reduces their emotional stress, physical discomfort, and financial burden. Hope Lodge – American Cancer Society https://www. cancer.

Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better.

Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.
