Veterans Nonprofit Capital Grant Program (VNCP) is sponsored by New York State. New York State's Veterans Nonprofit Capital Grant Program (VNCP) funds eligible nonprofit veterans' organizations to make capital improvements to facilities that serve veterans. The program aims to address the continuing need for quality veteran services.

gov/register-your-organization-sfs Technical Questions regarding the SFS System should be directed to SFS via e mail at: [email protected] New York Building Recreational Infrastructure for Communities, Kids and Seniors - (NY BRICKS) On August 31, 2026, Governor Hochul announced the launch of the second round of the Building Recreational Infrastructure for Communities, Kids and Seniors (NY BRICKS) capital grant program, making $75 million available to municipalities and nonprofit organizations to build, renovate and modernize community centers across New York State.

Governor Hochul secured the funding in the FY2027 Enacted Budget to support community centers that promote physical health, mental well-being and connections among youth and older adults. The second round of NY BRICKS will provide grants ranging from $250,000 to $15 million, with priority given to projects in underserved communities.

The grants will support municipalities and nonprofit organizations across New York State in building or renovating community centers that promote physical health, mental well-being, and community connections for youth and older adults. The awards, which will benefit nearly 400,000 New Yorkers across the State, are funded from the $100 million NY BRICKS program, which Governor Hochul secured in the FY 2026 Enacted Budget.

New York Providing Local Access to Essential Sustenance Program - (NY PLATES) Governor Kathy Hochul announced that funding is available from the new $10 million New York Providing Local Access to Essential Sustenance (NY PLATES) capital grant program.

Governor Hochul secured this funding in the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Enacted Budget to support food banks and other organizations that provide emergency food assistance in building the modern facilities, equipment, and infrastructure needed to serve more families across the state.

NY PLATES will offer competitive capital grants to eligible Food Banks, Emergency Food Programs, and municipalities providing food relief services within New York’s 10 regional food bank territories. Eligible uses include capital costs including, but not limited to, the design, construction, or renovation of eligible program locations as well as for the purchase of equipment such as cold storage, freezers, and food transport vehicles.

These investments will increase the capacity of critical food assistance organizations and enable them to safely store, transport, and distribute food to more New Yorkers in need. The Governor's office, New York State Department of Health, and DASNY are committed to ensuring that all potential applicants fully understand the competitive grant process.

The open application question period begins on June 11, 2026 , and all questions must be submitted via the NY PLATES SurveyMonkey form accessible here . A webinar video will be posted on the DASNY website (DASNY. org) on June 19, 2026 .

New York's biggest investment in swimming since the New Deal. The program provides grants between $50,000 and $10 million to help municipalities design, construct, rehabilitate, or modernize public swimming facilities, with a focus on supporting disadvantaged and underserved communities that lack access to safe swimming and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Applications were evaluated on characteristics of project need, impact and viability. In addition to various costs to develop swimming areas, a portion of NY SWIMS grants can be used to add amenities, including splash pads, concession stands, picnic areas and playgrounds.

Press Release (07/02/26): Governor Hochul Announces Nearly $21 Million in Additional NY SWIMS Funding to Support 16 Projects Across New York State Child Care Capital Construction Funding Program (4CFP) On June 30, Governor Kathy Hochul announced $106 million in awards through the 4CFP to support 37 projects that will create and expand access to quality childcare across New York State.

The awards will support shovel-ready capital projects in every region of the state, helping communities increase the availability of licensed childcare while providing modern, safe and accessible spaces for children and families.
