Programs » Publication Grants The Wyeth Foundation for American Art Publication Grant supports the publication of books on the art of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Applications are considered for book-length scholarly manuscripts that are under contract for publication by publishers who are institutional members of CAA.
High scholarly and intellectual merit is the primary criterion. Museum exhibition or collection catalogs containing substantial scholarship can be considered.
The jury is also attentive to the following: Topics with an inherently small market Projects carrying unusually high expenses Works by early-career scholars or curators Works issued by smaller museums Works by or about underserved constituencies Research that breaks new ground, contributes new scholarship, or publishes important primary source material Books with high aesthetic appeal that might increase the audience for American art Technical reports, articles, previously published works (including collections of previously published essays), congress proceedings, and self-published manuscripts are not eligible for submission.
Projects that have been previously rejected for a Wyeth grant may not be resubmitted without substantial revision. Application materials must be submitted by the publisher through the application portal, as follows: Publisher’s cover letter describing the importance of the work and detailing for what purpose the grant is needed, including a basic budget or cost estimate.
Partial manuscript: table of contents, introduction, sample chapter or partial chapters, list of illustrations (complete or representative), sample images including figure numbers and captions, and sample bibliography (five pages minimum).
Manuscript reviews: Two or more substantive, analytical peer reviews or readers’ reports of the manuscript, addressing originality, significance of the scholarly contribution, and quality of the research and prose, written by reviewers who are authorities on the subject.

Jerome Early-Career Project Grants is a grant from Forecast Public Art, funded by the Jerome Foundation, that funds the creation of new public art projects by early-career artists based in Minnesota. Two grants of $8,000 each are awarded annually to support temporary or permanent public artworks anywhere in Minnesota. Projects may be supported by public or nonprofit agencies but private commissions are not eligible, and a secured project site is required at the time of application. The program places special emphasis on supporting BIPOC and Native artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, women artists, immigrant artists, rural artists, and artists with disabilities. Eligible applicants are Minnesota-based individual artists with 2–10 years of generative experience. The application deadline was October 15, 2025.
The Local Cultural Council Program is a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council distributing $1,000 to $10,000 through a statewide network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) representing every city and town in the Commonwealth. Each LCC awards funds based on local community cultural needs as assessed by council members. Eligible applicants include artists, nonprofits, schools, and organizations pursuing arts, humanities, and science projects. Applications are submitted directly to local councils and are typically due by October 16. Grants from most LCCs are reimbursement-based. Massachusetts Cultural Council funds the LCCs centrally, which then regrant to community projects.
