Please complete and submit this online grant application form to request funding. CSWD Waste Reduction Project/Container Grant funding is available for projects and waste containers that reduce the amount of trash being sent to the landfill from Chittenden County and help increase diversion of mandatory recyclables and compostables from the landfill.
The goal is to help CSWD members comply with the requirements of CSWD’s Solid Waste Management Ordinance and Act 148, Vermont’s Universal Recycling Law. You will receive a confirmation email when you successfully submit this form. Please contact CSWD with any questions.

I understand that I will be required to submit a progress report by a date to be determined when the grant is awarded. I understand that I will be required to submit a final report to CSWD by June 20, which shall include estimates of materials diverted from the waste stream, lessons learned, and future plans. Requirement for Community Group Applicants As a Community Group, you must secure sponsorship from your town.
CSWD will issue reimbursement funds to the Town, which will administer any grant funding awarded. You may submit this application now, but it won’t be processed until we receive the Agreement to Administer Funds from your Town Contact.
