Humanoid Robotic Fleet Management Humanoid Robotic Fleet Management AI Analysis Solicitation Details Details SBIR Documents ( 1 ) Documents ( 1 ) SBIR Opportunity Analysis The Department of the Air Force is seeking a humanoid robotic fleet management system under the SBIR program to optimize aircraft maintenance and sustainment operations within its depots.
To transition the technology from a simulated prototype to a physical deployment, the selected contractor must develop a functional fleet management platform that autonomously allocates tasks, monitors operations, and coordinates diverse robot fleets including humanoid, mobile, and non-mobile industrial platforms.
The system must adapt to dynamic environments to minimize aircraft downtime, and its development is restricted under ITAR and EAR export control regulations. Proposals for this Direct-to-Phase II initiative must be submitted through the Department of Defense SBIR/STTR portal by the application deadline of July 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
The DAF26BZ03-DV020 initiative seeks to develop a sophisticated humanoid robotic fleet management system to address challenges in Air Force aircraft maintenance and sustainment. The objective is to efficiently coordinate multiple humanoid and industrial robots for complex tasks in dynamic industrial environments, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing aircraft downtime.
This technology is restricted under ITAR/EAR, requiring disclosure of foreign national involvement. The project aims to overcome limitations of current robot management systems by providing a centralized platform for monitoring, control, and coordination, with autonomous task allocation and adaptability to changing operational environments.
Phase I focuses on demonstrating a prototype system in a simulated environment, while Phase II involves developing a functional prototype for physical robot fleets and evaluating its performance in a real-world setting. Phase III will transition the system into a commercially viable product with dual-use applications in manufacturing, logistics, and inspection, integrating it with existing robotic platforms.

High Temp Semiconductor Transistors for Hot DoW Environments and Electronic Warfare (DAF26BZ05-DV030) is sponsored by Department of the Air Force (USAF). This topic solicits high temperature semiconductor electronics device and circuit solutions which can operate at temperatures at or above 500°C to address hot environment and electronic warfare needs. Proposed efforts should have already identified a clear application with a credible path to transition into the microelectronics defense industrial base.
24.2 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I Broad Agency Announcement is sponsored by Department of the Air Force (USAF). This Broad Agency Announcement includes topics focused on modeling and simulation of large-scale deployments of autonomous systems, which can be applied to maritime surveillance, base defense, and air operations. The technology within this topic is restricted under ITAR/EAR.
FA955026S0003 posted September 8 with full proposals due December 4, 2026 — but a five-page white paper is required by October 9, questions close September 17, and the PhD window admits degrees earned after April 1, 2019 only. At $450,000 over three years with no collaborators permitted, this is the most restrictive of the three service early-career programs and the only one with an LPS quantum carve-out.
