Rural Health Grants | BCBSND With these grants, rural health care providers and their communities collaborate to address their unique health and wellness challenges. The grants are offered and funded by the BCBSND Caring Foundation and administered by the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Amount: Six to eight grants will be awarded to rural providers ranging from $5,000 to $7,500 Grant Proposals Accepted: Each November via UND’s Rural Health Grant website Applications must be submitted by a health care provider A Rural Health Grant could include, but is not limited to: Developing veteran peer support aimed at rural areas to reduce suicide rates and improve mental health Providing essential resources to students and their families facing hardships to alleviate barriers to learning Creating a handicap-accessible garden for nursing home residents to improve health Supplying adaptive devices to allow patients with mobility issues to get to medical appointments Congratulations to our 2026 awardees Indigenized Behavioral Healing – Belcourt The focus of this project is a 2-day summit will bring together address mental health disparities through culturally grounded, evidence-informed strategies Missouri Slope – Bismarck The focus of this project is to improve access to education and healthcare resources for older adults living in the rural McLean County.
Midwest Therapy Center – Dickinson The focus of this project is to increase access to behavioral-health services for students. Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center – Elgin The focus of this project is to implementing a syringe pump that ensures accurate, safe, and timely medication delivery for critically ill children in our rural setting.
Anne Carlsen Center – Jamestown The focus of this project is to directly addresses the Social Drivers of Health domains of Healthcare Access and Quality and Social and Community Context by reducing geographic and systemic barriers to care. Langdon Prairie Health – Langdon The focus of this project is to purchase and install a new automated CT contrast injector (“CT injector”).
Cavalier County Health District – Langdon The focus of this project is to provide financial support for low income Cavalier County youth to support the cost of fees to register and participate. Northwood Deaconess Health Center – Northwood The focus of this project is to focus of the N-TAP project is to encourage and support aging individuals to attend health-care related appointments and facilitate transportation.
Rolette County Public Health District – Rolla The focus of this project is to provide mobile footcare program for seniors. Heart of America Medical Center – Rugby The focus of this project is to expanding access to care for telepsychiatry. CHI Mercy Hospital – Valley City The focus of this project is to increase healthcare access rurally by establishing a dedicated chemotherapy infusion service within our Ambulatory Care department.
